I worked my way through college and left with very little debt because at that time the state paid for most of my education. I earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Masters In Public Administration form the University of Houston. I earned a doctoral degree in Higher Education Administration form the University of Texas at Austin. So yes, I am a smart cookie.

I began my career in higher education, working the night shift at a college residence hall and forty years later I completed my career serving as a college president and Chancellor. I work hard and get things done.

Now, I am an independent consultant working with college presidents, and chancellors across the country to help them be successful.

And now I am ready to work for you to help Indiana be successful!

Loves Living In Indiana

Along the way I spent 11 years working at IUPUI and fell in love with Indiana and the Hoosier way of life. I have family and dear friends in Indiana. I like our Hoosier values of fairness and hard work. I like that Hoosiers are often modest, simply want to live a good life and have a fundamental respect for others. I like solving problems with sensible solutions that meet folks in the middle and work toward each of us having our best life.

Loves Living in Brownsburg & Hendricks County 

In 2019, I moved back to Indiana to Brownsburg and District 28. I could have lived anywhere and we chose Brownsburg Indiana. I want to work to keep what we all love about our community and to solve real problems that make a difference.
